bareboat charter yacht fleet is based in the port of Opua at the
heart of the Bay of Islands, New Zealand's premier cruising destination.
A bareboat yacht
charter is a great way to discover this wonderful area. You are
free to make your own itinerary and sail as little or as much as
you like. Secluded beaches, island walks, fishing, dolphins and
penguins; the Bay of Islands has all of this - and the best way
to experience it is by boat.
The fleet in
our family company includes yachts for charter from 28-feet
to 45-feet. This is the widest selection of bareboat yachts available
in the Bay of Islands. Our boats can be recognized by the high standard
of their maintenance and presentation. Better maintenance is our
calling card.
The area in
which our boats are licensed for bareboat charter extends from Cape
Karikari, 60 miles north of the Bay of Islands to Cape Colville
in the south. This is 170 miles of the best sailing that New Zealand
has to offer.
Although bareboat
(sail yourself) charters are our primary focus, our yachts are also
available with a skipper or cook, and sailing tuition is available
for those who need a hand with learning the ropes.
Fairwind is
