Attractive on the outside and inside, the Classic 38 reflects Dufour's
four decades experience in yacht building. Wide side decks and low
profile cabin top give plenty of space on deck while the light Mahogany
interior makes below a pleasant place to spend time. Easily handled
under sail, the relatively deep draft of the keel makes the boat
quicker than her length would suggest and the 40 hp Volvo sail drive
gives precise handling under power. This boat is the two cabin version
with wider aft cabin and large lazerette stowage. The saloon table
converts into another double berth giving sleeping space for six
if required.
A 2002 model presented in very good condition, Iranui's owners
sailed her around the Med for two years before shipping her to New
Zealand, where she joined our fleet in September 2007.
